The Hellenic Esports Federation (HESF) is the official national governing body for esports in Greece.
We are responsible for establishing the institutional framework of esports in the country, organizing official competitions, safeguarding athletes, and developing national teams that represent Greece internationally.
Our role goes beyond administration.
We shape policy, promote integrity and fair play, and ensure that esports evolve as a structured, transparent and credible form of modern sport.
Esports are competition, education and culture — and they require governance aligned with athletic values.

We aim to empower young athletes with the skills, opportunities and support needed to reach the highest level of competition, while building national teams that inspire pride and international recognition.
Esports are inherently inclusive. They offer equal access regardless of gender, background or physical ability, reflecting the principles of fairness and participation that define modern sport.

The Hellenic Esports Federation maintains active international dialogue and strategic partnerships at the highest level.
A landmark moment in this direction was the official meeting between the President of HESF, Mr. Vangelis Kastanias, and HRH Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud, President of the Saudi Esports Federation.
This meeting reflects Greece’s growing presence in global esports diplomacy and strengthens bilateral cooperation with one of the most influential esports ecosystems worldwide.

A milestone in this direction was the official meeting between the President of the Hellenic Esports Federation, Vangelis Kastanias, and Mr. Paul J. Foster, President of the Global Esports Federation (GEF).
The meeting took place in the presence of the Government Spokesman of Greece, Mr. Pavlos Marinakis, and the former Minister of Migration and Asylum, Mrs. Sofia Voultepsi, highlighting the institutional and governmental dimension of Greece’s participation in global esports governance.
